Music Ecademy is a great tool to assess your students music knowledge.
You can use Music Ecademy as both a formative and summative assessment tool.
FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT
You can use Music Ecademy as a formative assessment tool. Each lesson is followed by multiple quizzes so that students are continuously tested on what they have learnt throughout the programme.
We also have bigger tests along the way called Strengthen Skills tests. These test students on everything they have learnt at different points throughout the grades, to check up on what they have learnt so far and make sure that they are ready to continue.
This allows teachers to better gauge their students’ comprehension of the concepts.
In order to see students progress and what quizzes they have completed you can use their progress bars. Have a look at the article here for help.
SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT
Use the final tests to assess your students’ progress and what they have learnt at the end of the term or the year.
Each grade/level in Music Ecademy ends with a final test which tests students on everything they have learnt in that grade.
Try asking students to take the final tests under exam conditions. You can then view their quiz attempts and grades. For more information on this see the article on quiz results.
